Costa Rican Adventures

Kol Ami began a four day project this morning with Brian and Audrey from CRA and the Puerto Viejo Elementary school.  CRA started a new school house for the PV school last June and even though the school house has been in use it was not completely finished.  Thanks to Kol Ami dedicating their entire trip to Community Service the project will be completed over the next four days.  

Today we stared with washing and touching up painted areas, sanding wood for the side walls and making a cement safe box for the classroom.  

One thing that was obvious was that the students from Kol Ami came here prepared to work.  And work they did in collaboration with the local Costa Rican 6th graders.  Each day a new group of students will work with the Kol Ami group so that everyone has a chance to make their school a better place.
